WILLY WISHES YOU HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Willy AKA Welling­ton wants to wish every­one Hap­py Hol­i­days. This young boy is look­ing for a dog savvy home. We are guess­ing Willy’s breed to be Dachs­hund crossed with King Charles Cav­a­lier Spaniel. He is just over a year old, weighs 15 lbs and now neutered. Willy can be fear­ful of new peo­ple, pri­mar­i­ly men but once he learns he can trust you he warms up quick­ly. The best way to win Willy over is ignor­ing him and let him come to you. Willy can also be vocal when left alone so a detached home is best for him. We are insist­ing on NO young kids for Willy, how­ev­er Willy is great with oth­er dogs and appears curi­ous but friend­ly of the cats in his fos­ter home. Willy is a HIGH ener­gy dog and needs lots of exer­cise to keep him behav­ing his best. This sweet boy was found by Ani­mal Con­trol run­ning at large cold, hun­gry and scared. Being in the shel­ter was far too stress­ful for Willy so the shel­ter trans­ferred him (after his stray-hold peri­od passed) to Cross Our Paws RESCUE in North Van­cou­ver. Willy is head­ing to a fos­ter home on the Island for some much need­ed train­ing and social­iz­ing with new peo­ple until a per­ma­nent home is found.
