This is KAYA…and she is smiling at YOU!!!

Kaya is loosing her home in North Vancouver, where she’s lived all her life, because she is not getting along with the other Chihuahua in the home. Kaya will need to be properly socialized and to learn how to walk on leash. She 6 yrs old and weighs about 6 lbs. She LOVES people and is very affectionate! She is spayed and just had her teeth cleaned. We are assisting her owners find this special little girl a new home. Our RAGZ (corgi/border collie) is back up for adoption! We discovered Ragz is best suited for an adult home as kids are just too much for him. We are looking for a detached home with a secure yard for Ragz to play in preferably with another compatible dog. Ragz is 4.5 mths old and weighs about 25 lbs. He is just about completely house-trained but will need reminders through the day so a home where someone is around part of the day to help is a must! Iris is a German Shorthaired Pointer (GSP) about 12 to 14 yrs old. She was found tied to the shelter gate in the morning when staff arrived for work. How SAD! Iris is a very sweet girl who loves other dogs and people but she would definitely chase cats IF they run. Check out her video!

UPDATE: March 30th, 2012. Foster care found for Carley. It looks like Carley maybe staying with this family indefinitely as they have completely fallen for her. Thank You to everyone that enquired about her!!!

Say hello to little Carley, a 1 yr old, 8 lb., small mixed breed. Carley is very sweet and needs a foster home ASAP. Carley is coming to us (March 8th) from Terrace, BC where she was found wandering the streets cold and frightened. No one came looking for her so she is now in need of a new home. How can someone do this to their pet is beyond us? Thank you to Northern Animal Rescue Alliance (NARA) for coming to her aid! Everything will be suppied for her while she is in foster care. We are looking for a 4 to 6 week foster commitment :)

He is great with other dogs and loves to play. Denver comes to us from a family in Port Alberni. His owner has some medical issues that was preventing him to care for Denver.
