JONAH

Jonah is a very lucky dog. He got into a terrible accident in early January of this year. He was found under a train trestle just outside of Terrace BC, all mangled with his chain still wrapped around his neck. He was brought into a vet clinic by the RCMP and he underwent surgery to save his life. He had numerous bruises and lacerations covering his body, had one eye reinserted, lost all his top front teeth, had his tail amputated, and his rear leg femur was shattered. Jonah has had three surgeries to plate, replate, and finally, to remove the plate from his femur. He is now ready to find his forever home. Jonah is a happy, affectionate dog and never once during all he endured, showed any signs of being down and out. He loves all people and is very playful and full of joy. Because he is so full of joy and still working on his obedience skills a home with older/teenaged children would be best. Jonah is good with other dogs. Jonah still needs work with his training, so will require a strong, confident owner to bring out the best in him. Although Jonah does not have any more medical needs to take care of, there may be some issues, like arthritis, that may pop up in the future due to his accident. Jonah is housetrained, neutered and UTD with vaccinations. JONAH CAN BE FLOWN TO THE LOWER MAINLAND VIA HAWKAIR.
