Denver is a neutered, 8 mth old Golden Retriever who loves life. He is great with other dogs and loves to play. Denver comes to us from a family in Port Alberni. His owner has some medical issues that was preventing him to care for Denver. With some good exercise and training this dog is going to be amazing.

UPDATE: ADOPTED!!!!!!
JAN 6TH, 2012. Koda, Tika and Tundra have been adopted. Tacoma was placed in a foster to adopt home in Vancouver today and Rilee is currently in a foster home in Bby brushing up on her house-training and other basic manners.
We have 5 sweet, Husky cross pups up for adoption about 8 weeks old. They came to us from Northern BC via Northern Animal Rescue Alliance (NARA) as they were in dire need of rescue. All pups are doing well and will be ready for adoption just after Christmas. Please visit their posts here for details…

CEDAR! (experienced foster home needed!)
Say hello to Cedar a young, active boy looking for a dog savvy “adult” home. We are not sure what Cedar’s exact breed is but so far we think Aussie Shepherd/Basset or Corgi cross?? He is approx 10 mths old and has energy to burn. Cedar needs a confident handler that will train and exercise him everyday. He weighs about 65 lbs but would be best around 55 lbs so a little more exercise and a little less food will get this boy back on track. Visit him on our adoptable pet list for details.

German Shepherd, Black and Tan, Neutered Male Young Adult, (Approx 9 months old)
Diesel was surrendered to the Delta Community Animal Shelter as his owner was unable to provide a secure environment where he received an appropriate amount of exercise and socialization.
He will need an dog experienced home that will be able to provide him with a structured routine and behavioural training. Diesel is wonderful with people but needs to be placed in a home without small animals. He does have a history of aggression toward small dogs and we thought he didn’t like all dogs BUT he now has a big dog friend at the shelter! So, we think he would do best with a well balanced or more submissive dog. An introduction at the shelter is the best way to ensure a friendship has been made and we will be happy to assist you. This smart, young dog has so much potential, we hope the right family is able to see past the “naughty puppy” behavior and give him the consistency and stability he so desperately needs! A gorgeous Malinois looking for a wonderful dog savvy home. Maco would love a dog sport such as tracking or nose work. He is so smart and ready to learn.
